| Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film and TV actor who has been featured in films like The PianoFly Homeaway and X-Men.She entered the film industry as a child performer as a child artist in The Pianofor which she won the Academy Awardfor Best Actress in Supporting Role at eleven. Her intention was never to pursue a career in acting However, the universe determined that she should. After her breakthrough in her debut film she received numerous offers, but did not accept in order to concentrate on her studies. After a successful debut film when she was just 14, she was approached for roles in Jane Eyreand the Fly Away Homefilms series. The year 2000 saw her play the formidable mutant Roguein the XMen films series. The role she played was a huge success and she became a global star. The actress reprised Roguein sequels, such as X2 and X-MenThe Final Stand.She appeared on screen in smaller roles as the character Elaine Goodalin in Bury My Heart at Wounded Kneefor her which received her first Emmynomination.
